Final ResultsThe Albright College men's track and field team placed in six events on the final day at the MAC outdoor championships.
The Lions totaled 31 points, including 22 on Saturday, to place eighth of 12 scoring teams. Widener easily won the team championship with 323 points.
Albright freshman
Tymeer Roberts was fourth in the long jump (6.40m/21'0) and classmate
Trent Thorne just missed scoring with a ninth place finish (6.10m/20'0.25").
Another rookie,
Colton Harer, was sixth in the javelin (51.71m/169'8").
Thorne did place in the 400 hurdles, running 57.46 to finish sixth in the finals. Junior
Jermaine Grey was fifth in the 110 hurdles, in 15.87.
Sophomore
Oumar Diawara placed in two events Saturday. He was third in the 400 meters (49.65) and eighth at 100 meters (11.20).
The Red and White's 4x400m relay team of Diawara, Grey,
Rob Raison and Thorne placed 10th in 3:40.11.
Xavier Gonzalez was 12th in the discus, with a mark of 38.63m/126'9".
The Lions had scored points on Friday through Harer (second, high jump), Thorne (seventh, triple jump) and
Mike Schwartz (eighth, hammer).
