READING, Pa. - For the second consecutive match, freshman forward #Jordan Cassidy# proved to be the deciding factor this time scoring the lone game winning goal to give Albright (6-7-2/2-2 CC) a 1-0 Commonwealth Conference win over Lebanon Valley College (6-8-1/1-3 CC) Saturday afternoon at Shirk Stadium.

The last time the Lady Lions picked up a win over the Dutchmen was in 2006 when they defeated them by the final score of 1-0. Cassidy's goal which was her fourth of the season and third in two games was a perfectly placed knee ball to the low near post.

Setting up the scoring opportunity was senior #Kim Spataro# who drove in a free kick from about four yards out of the Dutchmen goal box. Her free kick managed to bend around the Dutchmen wall of players and land perfectly on Cassidy's knee. The freshman forward then redirected the ball past Lebanon Valley goalkeeper to give Albright the go-ahead score with about 30 minutes left in the match.

Following the goal, Albright's defense led by conference goalkeeper of the week #Olivia Giuliano# completely neutralized the Dutchmen's attack, holding them to zero shots in the half. In the first half, Lebanon Valley dominated the Lions totaling seven shots, while hold Albright to zero.

Giuliano who now has two wins against conference opponents this season totaled four saves to also earn her second conference shutout as well. Dutchmen goalkeeper Sami Young recorded just one save in the match.

Lebanon Valley also led the match in corner kicks with five, while Albright managed three, all of which were taken in the second half.

With the win, the Lions remain in the hunt for a spot in this year's conference tournament. Women's Soccer returns to action on Tuesday when they travel to Reading rival Alvernia University for a 7 p.m. Commonwealth Conference match.
