READING, Pa. - On a very windy afternoon the Women's Soccer team (3-6-2) battled Rutgers-Newark (5-7-1) to a 0-0 non-conference draw in Shirk Stadium.
The stalemate which went the entire 110 minutes saw the visiting Raiders total 13 shots in the contest, seven of which were on goal. For the Lions they tallied seven shots of their own, and found the target a total of three times.

Kim Spataro# helped to secure the Lady Lions defensive third of the field and limited the Raiders offensive chances throughout the extended match.

Olivia Giuliano# tallied all seven saves for the red and white as she earned her first draw of the season. Her record now stands at 1-3-1 on the year. Rutgers-Newark goalkeeper Kat Renteria made three saves for her squad.

The Lady Lions did lead the match in corner kicks with five. Rutgers-Newark recorded three corner kicks of their own, one of which came in the second overtime period.
Women's Soccer returns to action on Saturday when they travel to Elizabethtown College for a 4:30 p.m. Commonwealth Conference match.
