Boscola Named Commonwealth Conference Player of the Week

ANNVILLE, Pa. - Junior forward Gia Boscola has been named this week's Commonwealth Conference Player of the Week, which was announced Monday afternoon by the conference office.

Boscola, who has a career best 10 points (4g 2a) on the year netted a goal in every game she played in last week.  She also managed two assists in the week's first contest, which went into overtime.  In the overtime game against Neumann University, Boscola became the hero for the second time this season, scoring the game winner just seconds into the period.  It was in that game that she also tallied her two assists.

Later in the week, Boscola scored an unassisted goal in the 2-1 loss to Keystone College on Thursday.  She then closed out the week with team's only score in the 3-1 loss to Goucher College.

Boscola and the rest of the Albright Field Hockey team return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Cabrini College for a 4 p.m. non-conference game.
