GRANTHAM, Pa. – Facing their toughest challenge of the season, the Lady Lions traveled to the home of two-time defending national champions Messiah College to face the Falcons in a Commonwealth Conference match. The Falcons who have not suffered a loss in almost three years blanked Albright 9-0 Saturday evening.
In dominating fashion the Falcons did not allow Albright to get off a single shot or corner kick in Saturday's match. Messiah kept the red and white busy throughout as they combined for 38 shots in the contest. Goalkeepers #

Six of Messiah's nine goals came in the first half, with their first score of the night coming in the 18th minute. From there the Falcons scored three goals in a two minute window to jump out to a 4-0 lead. They then knocked in two more goals before the intermission.
After the break, Messiah scored a pair of goals over the course of 51 seconds to extend their lead to 8-0. The Falcons last goal of the evening came in the 74th minute.
Women's Soccer returns to action next Saturday when they host Lycoming College in their 2010 season finale. Start time is scheduled for noon.
