McGinness Earns First Team All-Conference Honors

ANNVILLE, Pa. - On Monday, the Commonwealth Conference announced that junior guard Jessica McGinness has been named a First Team All-Commonwealth selection for the first time in her career.

The honor which is the second for McGinness who was named a Second Team All-Conference selection and Rookie of the Year in 2008 highlights an amazing season for the Norristown native.

Albright's leading scorer in the 09-10 season, McGinness averaged just over 14 points per game, which ranked her fourth in the Commonwealth Conference. In 23 games played, the junior guard recorded 10 or more points 18 times, and 20 or more points eight times. Her 42.8% shooting from the floor (119-278) and 62.5% shooting from the line (65-104) ranked her in the top-15 in the conference in both categories. McGinness also tallied 76 rebounds this season, 44 assists, 48 steals, and eight blocks.

Truly one of McGinness' greatest highlights this winter came February 11th when she became the 13th member of the 1,000 point club. To date McGinness now has 1,047 career points, which is 10th most all-time.
