READING, Pa. - On Monday, head coach
Pat Stanco released his 2010 Women's Soccer schedule. This upcoming season looks to be another challenging one as the red and white will look to make their second straight postseason berth. Albright will kick-off their new campaign on Thursday, September 2nd when they travel to Penn State Berks for a 4 p.m. non-conference match-up.
Following a two-day tournament at FDU-Florham in Madison, N.J. the red and white will make their home debut in Shirk Stadium on Wednesday, September 8 at 5 p.m. against Immaculata University. That game will be part of soccer doubleheader as the men's team will also be making their home debut that night against the Mighty Macs. Currently Albright is scheduled to play 19 matches this season, while also hosting one preseason scrimmage in late August.
Helping to lead Albright in 2010 will be all-conference goalkeeper
Olivia Giuliano, who earned second team honors after a stellar sophomore campaign. Also helping to solidify the red and white's line-up this season will be second team all-conference selection
Kirstie Potteiger. In her first season at the collegiate level Potteiger was solid throughout the mid-field having started all 20 matches.
As always live stats will be available for all home matches played this fall. Albright play-by-play announcer Steve Degler will also have the call for a select number of games as well. The fall 2010 broadcast schedule for all of Albright sports will be announced later this summer.
