LANCASTER, Pa. – In their second match in less than 24 hours, Albright (5-3-2) picked-up their second straight shutout pulling out a 3-0 decision over the Chargers of Lancaster Bible College (6-4) Tuesday afternoon.
Leading the Lions to the win was sophomore forward #
Jordan Cassidy#. After assisting, Albright's second goal of the day, Cassidy sealed the win with match's third and final goal in the final five minutes of play.
Netting the first goal of the day was #
Alex Talbot# on an unassisted play in the 16th minute. The second goal, which was scored by #
Lauren Panichelle#, did not come until the final 10 minutes of play.
Tuesday's shutout victory also marked the second for goalkeeper #
Olivia Giuliano#. The New Jersey native posted eight saves to claim her fifth win of the year.
The two teams matched-up evenly on offense totaling 11 shots each. Albright did hold a slight advantage in the corner kicks totaling nine as compared to the Chargers five.
Women's Soccer returns to action on Friday when they take on their first conference opponent in Widener University. Game time is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in Chester, Pa.
