Results

The Albright College women's cross country team placed 11th of 13 teams at Saturday's MAC championship meet, led by sophomore Sami Haynes' 6K time of 29:07.10 in a blizzard.

The Lions were forced to compete without senior star Kim Hummel, and Haynes was their first runner across the line in 75th place. Four spots behind her was midseason addition Caroline Vazzana (29:22.80).

Shanna Hawkins was 88th in 29:57.30, while sophomore Lauren Centafont finished in 31:48.80. Junior Mary Frederick rounded out the Lions' scoring group, in 33:46.80.

Elizabethtown won the meet, held at Messiah, taking five of the seven spots. The Blue Jays' Traci Tempone (23:58.40) won the individual race, with times slowed considerably due to the horrible weather conditions.

Albright will compete again on November 12 at the NCAA Mideast Regionals, which will be held at nearby DeSales.
