A pair of second half goals doomed the Albright College women's soccer team as the Lions fell 2-0 to Lebanon Valley College, Saturday in their Commonwealth Conference opener.
Freshman
Kelly Burian made 19 saves in goal, including 13 after halftime, but couldn't keep the Dutchmen out for 90 minutes. An aggressive Dutchmen attack peppered Albright with 19 shots in each half.
Stevi Laird opened the scoring in the 52nd minute, knocking in
Amanda Douglass' cross.
Lindi Crist added an insurance goal in the 79th minute.
Senior
Jordan Cassidy led the Lions with two shots, as the Lions forced LVC into three saves.
Albright is 5-3, 0-1 and hosts Lycoming College on Tuesday.
