Box Score
Two second half goals scored by the visiting Gophers of Goucher College in Monday night's women's soccer match proved to be too much of an obstacle to overcome, as the Lady Lions were shutout for the second straight time at home.
Tied 0-0 after 45 minutes of play, a goal by Goucher senior
Sarah Eaby would be all the Gophers needed to put away the Red and White.
Eaby's goal would come in the aftermath of a corner kick, and was assisted by sophomore
Sherlanda Buskey. Shortly after, Buskey provided the insurance, ending the Lions' hope for victory.
As in Saturday's loss to Montclair State, Albright had chances to score, outshooting their opponent 9-7, but just could not capitalize on their opportunities.
Senior
Jordan Cassidy and sophomore
Erin Hand both had shots on goal, failing to net the ball each time.
Albright players
Stephanie Przybyszewski,
Alex Talbot, and
Rebecca Sartorio all received yellow cards, as did Goucher's
Lindsey Puopolo.
With the loss, the Lions fall to 1-2 on the season and will host Immaculata Wednesday night.
