Despite struggling early, the Albright College women's soccer team scored four unanswered goals to beat Immaculata 4-1 on Wednesday and break a two-game losing streak.
Senior
Jordan Cassidy had two goals and an assist, while classmate
Alee Gormley chipped in with two assists. Also scoring were
Erin Hand and
Stephanie Przybyszewski.
Cassidy finally gave the Lions their first lead of the day when she ran onto Gormley's through ball and finished it in the 54th minute. Przybyszewski and Cassidy would add late goals to help Albright pull away.
Immaculata had a chance in the second minute, but
Rachel Gannon's shot at the back post off a corner kick was cleared away by
Kelly Burian.

In the 21
st minute, Albright tied it up when Cassidy crossed from the right side into the path of Hand, who ripped in it from close range. Less than a minute later, Cassidy was in all alone but hit the inside of the post.
Albright had several chances late in the half, but both Hand and Marcarelli were saved. Early in the second half,
Emily Diaz played a great weighted ball into the box, but
Alex Talbot's near-post shot was saved. Seconds later, Mighty Mac goalie
Meghan McCurnin made a great save on Hand, and Talbot fired high in the aftermath.
Freshman
Jaymee Stepp made one save in the second half to earn her first collegiate victory. Albright is 2-2 on the season and will host York College on Saturday.
