Lions Shut Out in Tight Road Encounter

In a game that featured just five total shots on goal, Goucher was the team to sneak one in as the Albright College women's soccer team lost 1-0 on the road.

Sophomore Kelly Burian returned to the goal after missing time due to injury and made one save, but was beaten by the other Goucher shot on target.

The Gophers struck in the 27th minute, as Lindsey Puopolo assisted Katherine Matthew-Parker for the goal.

The game featured just nine total shots (5-4 Albright) and four corner kicks (3-1 Albright).

In the second half, Sousa forced a save early on. The Lions would not have another shot until the final three minutes, with Erin Hand's chance saved by Juliana Harkavy.

Albright falls to 4-4-1; the Lions will finally open Commonwealth Conference play on Saturday with a trip to Elizabethtown.
