Two second half goals from
Mackenzie Calhoun helped Stevenson pull away late, as the Albright College women's soccer team lost 4-1 on the road Saturday.
Mandy Marston scored twice in the first half to give the Mustangs a 2-0 lead, but Albright freshman
Emily Sousa answered 80 seconds after the second goal to keep it close.
It was the only shot on goal the Lions could manage, but they stayed within one until Calhoun struck twice in less than two minutes (73rd and 75th minutes).
Sophomore goalkeeper
Alexis Lorusso made six saves for Albright, while classmate
Jaymee Stepp had three stops in 13 shutout minutes off the bench.
The loss hurts the Lions in the Commonwealth playoff race, as Stevenson pulls even with them at 3-3-1 but now holds the head-to-head tiebreaker.
Albright is 7-7-2 overall and will travel to local rival Alvernia on Tuesday in a must-win conference game, before ending at home against defending national champion Messiah.
