The Albright College women's soccer team dropped a 4-0 road Commonwealth encounter, Wednesday at Arcadia.
Freshman
Stacey Porter made her first career start in goal and totaled five saves, but was also beaten four times by the Knights' attack.
The Lions had the first corner kick of the day, but no one could get on the end of
Dylan Shipe's cross. After less than five minutes Arcadia had the lead, with
Fatima Elmedkhar finishing off
Sara Volk-Perez's pass.
Volk-Perez's header was then saved by Porter, before she grabbed another assist, this time on
Lennon Kramer's tally.
Nina Barbieri scored later in the first half, and Kramer made it 4-0 in the 57th minute.
The Lions had a pair of chances early in the second half, but both
Rebecca Sartorio and
Megan O'Brien had headers saved by Arcadia keeper
Jackie Law.
Sophomore goalie
Jaymee Stepp entered the game and made three saves late in 24 shutout minutes.
The Lions fall to 4-6-1, 0-2 and will look to get back on track this Saturday with a home game against Hood.
