Singleton Named First Team All-Region

Albright College senior Dave Singleton has added another postseason award, earning first team All-Mid-Atlantic Region honors from D3hoops.com.

Singleton was the Commonwealth Conference Player of the Year and averaged 15.9 ppg, 9.8 rpg (league leader and top-40 in the nation despite playing as a guard) and 5.8 apg. He also was a first team All-ECAC South honoree.

He also set a new single season school record with 68 steals, and reached 200 steals for his career (including two seasons at Division I High Point University). Singleton became the second D-III player in the nation to record two triple-doubles this season with an 18-point, 11-rebound, 11-assist performance in an ECAC playoff game vs. La Roche.

Along with submitting a triple-double at Lycoming (19 points, 13 rebounds, 12 assists), Singleton just barely missed the 10-point, 10-rebound, 10-assist mark in a host of other games, including vs. Alvernia (16-11-8), vs. Widener (8-11-9 in just 25 minutes), at Lebanon Valley (14-12-8), vs. Arcadia (15-13-9) and vs. Stevenson (14-12-9).

Singleton was a four-time conference Player of the Week and twice made D3hoops.com's national Team of the Week. He also earned one ECAC South weekly award.

Singleton totaled 15 double-doubles, and his 169 assists were second in the school single-season record books.

D3hoops.com also had Singleton as a finalist for an online vote to select two players for the D-III College All-Star Game, but he did not win the contest. Singleton will now be eligible for selection to D3hoops.com's All-American team, and several other organizations will also announce Division III All-American teams in the coming weeks.
