READING, Pa. --
Emily Sousa scored a goal for the Albright women's soccer team, but Penn State Berks rallied with two second-half goals to topple the Lions 2-1 in non-conference play on Tuesday.
Sousa scored her team-leading fifth goal of the season on a penalty kick at the 31:55 mark of the first half staking Albright to a 1-0 lead.
The lead held until Ellie McKinstry scored an unassisted goal at 55:40 to knot the score at 1-1.
The Nittany Lions scored the game-winning goal when McKinstry assisted on a goal by Chrissy Smith at the 85:55 mark of the match.
Sousa had five shots to lead the Albright offensive attack on the afternoon, while
Rebecca Mallon,
Lyra Biancamano,
Sara Glatzhofer and
Natalie Wilson each had one shot.
Jaymee Stepp played all 90 minutes in goal for Albright and made nine saves.
Albright dropped to 3-5 overall on the season, while Penn State Berks improved to 8-1.
