GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Albright women's soccer team pushed a scoreless tie into overtime against No. 12 Messiah on Saturday afternoon, but the host Falcons scored a golden goal with 20 seconds remaining in the first overtime period to defeat the Lions, 1-0.

Alexis Tunney kept the team in the match with nine saves. Six of those nine saves came in the second half as Messiah tried to turn up the pressure. Each time, though, Tunney managed to make the stop. Messiah held a 24-1 advantage in shots and a 14-2 lead in corner kicks.
The goal for Messiah came in the 100 minute off a corner kick. Lydia Eichorn jumped in a crowd and headed the ball in to give Messiah the victory.
The loss is the first in conference play for Albright. The Lions fall to 3-1-1 in conference play. Albright hosts Arcadia on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
