READING, Pa. – Elizabethtown (1-1) won five of the six singles matches en route to a 7-2 victory over the Albright Lions men's tennis team (0-4) on Saturday afternoon at the Albright Tennis Courts.

Sophomores Dylan Okonski and Noah Jessie got Albright off to a hot start with an 8-6 victory over the Blue Jays' Tyler Spinello and Tristan Boehm at the No. 1 doubles spot. In second doubles action, Elizabethtown's Nick Strobel and Evan Winters picked up an 8-4 win over Lions' freshman Armando Santana and junior Zach Schulties. At the No. 3 doubles spot, Elizabethtown's Alec Schneider and Julian LeMaire notched an 8-1 win over sophomores Brody Brown and Ron Adanje.

Jessie battled to the end, but fell to Spinello by a 7-5, 6-2 count at the top singles spot. In No. 2 singles action, Okonski recorded a 7-6, 6-7, 10-3 victory over Boehm. Strobel defeated Santana in consecutive 6-1 sets to earn a point for Elizabethtown at the third singles spot and Winters got the best of Schulties in fourth singles action. At the No. 5 spot, Schneider defeated Brown in straight sets by virtue of Brown's retirement and LeMaire defeated Adanje at the No. 6 singles spot.
