READING, Pa. – A rainy Monday evening matchup between the women's soccer teams of Albright and Immaculata ended in a 2-0 win for the Lions with a goal from sophomore

The Lions will improve to 5-3 in non-conference action, while Immaculata falls to 2-7.
The first scoring play came in the 19
th minute of the game with a through ball between defenders from junior
Lauren Haley to Sophomore
Autumn Bieber, who finished the ball high and to the near-post for a 1-0 lead.
Bieber set up a corner kick in the 73
rd minute that found the head of Serpico to secure a 2-0 win.
Albright held a strong 18-8 lead in shots taken and had a 10-5 edge in shots on goal. Bieber paced the Lions with six shots, all of them on target, followed by Haley with four shots. Three Mighty Macs took two shots – Miranda Rojas, Kristen Guthier, and Riley Rudd.
Sophomore
Olivia Donkus made five key saves for the Lions, earning a shutout and her fourth win this season. Immaculata goalkeeper Brooke Shissler had seven saves on the night, facing 18 shots.
Albright women's soccer will return to Shirk Stadium on Wednesday, Sept. 25 for a 4:30 p.m. contest against FDU-Florham.
