Reading, PA - The Albright Lions game against the Juniata Eagles ended in a draw, after both teams scored once in both halves. The 2-2 draw send the Lions record to 1-1-2 and the Eagles 0-2-2 on the season.
The Scoring started in the 6th minute, as Colleen O'Brien put one away for the Eagles. But the Lions would quickly answer with a goal from
Maggie Williams on a header. That goal came off of a corner kick from
Journee Haynes. The score would stay 1-1 into the half.
Similar to the first half, the Eagles would get on the board early, scoring in the 51st minute. But once again the Lions would respond almost immediately. Just a minute later,
Emily Serpico put one in the back of the net on an assist from
Mackenzie Sowers. That would be all the scoring, as the two teams drew 2-2.
Similar to each of the previous three games this season, Lions coach
Pat Stanco went with the two goalie plan, as Levan Mckenna started, and
Alexis Solt came on in the second half. Both goalies made allowed one goal, and made two saves.
After both teams took three shots in the first half, the Lions would have a 5-3 advantage in the second half. Both teams took five corner kicks throughout the game.
