FREDERICK, MD. - The Albright women's soccer team (4-6-2, 0-1-1MAC Commonwealth) opened up MAC Commonwealth play on Saturday afternoon and played to a scoreless draw against the Hood College Blazers (3-6-2, 0-0-2 MAC Commonwealth).
Today's game was the second MAC Commonwealth game of the season for the Lions. The Lions picked up a point in the MAC standings earning the tie this afternoon.
45 minutes came and went and neither team was able to put a goal on the board heading into halftime knotted at 0-0.
McKenna LeVan was up to her usual tricks shutting out the Blazers through 45 minutes. LeVan was credited with four saves in the first half keeping the Lions in the game.
The Lions offense began to ramp up in the second half firing six total shots.
Picking up in the final 10 minutes where the Lions had three shots on goal in a two minute span.
Alyssa DeVita,
Nyla Callahan and
Haley Denuto all put their best shot forward but it was not meant to be as the Hood goalie made each save.
After the flurry of Albright attempts, the game concluded after 90 minutes resulting in a 0-0 draw.
LeVan finished with another clean sheet making six saves in the game.
DeVita paced the Albright offense with four shots.
Audrey Solt recorded two shots while Denuto and Callahan each had one shot.
