COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Albright women's indoor track and field team took to the track on Friday afternoon competing in the Bow Tie Invitational hosted by Ursinus College.
Alyssa DeVita took home 4
th in the 800m leading Albright to an overall strong day on the track.

The 4x400 relay team of
Eren Tighe, DeVita,
Katelyn Schweitzer and
Nyla Callahan were in action this afternoon for their first race competing as a foursome. The quartet of Albright runners crossed the finish line in 4:25.38 taking home 3
rd out of 12 teams in a strong race for the Lions.
Alyssa DeVita and
Katelyn Schweitzer each competed in the 800m race. DeVita recorded a time of 2:29.01 to take home 4
th place out of 32 competitors. Schweitzer ran to a tune of 2:40.37 rounding out a strong event for the Lions.
Leah Brown took the track in the mile run this afternoon recording a time of 6:24.72.
Nyla Callahan and
Taisha Charles ran in the 200m race and turned in times of 28.07 and 29.02, respectively and both of which were good for better than half of the field.
Field Events
Mary Quinn and
Maggie Williams took home a tie for 4
th place in the high jump out of a field of 19 competitors. Quinn and Williams cleared a height of 1.35m to take home a top five finish.
Up Next:
The women's indoor track and field team will be off until the new year when the team will head to Lebanon Valley College for their next meet. The meet hosted by LVC will be held on Friday, January 12 throughout the day.
