Women’s Track & Field Competes at the Plex Shootout

The women’s track and field team competed throughout the day on the campus of Alvernia University at the Plex Shootout and turned in a number of personal bests.

READING, Pa. - The women's indoor track and field team was in action throughout the day on Saturday and competed in the Plex Shootout turning multiple personal best times in multiple different events.

Women's Track & Field:

Erin Tighe turned in a new personal best in the 60-meter hurdles and the 400. Tighe darted to the line in the 60-meter hurdles finishing in 10.90. and 1:06.89 in the 400.
Taisha Charles competed in the 200-meter dash and turned in a personal best for her efforts. Charles earned the personal best with a time of 29.10.
The trio of Alyssa Devita, Katelyn Schweitzer and Leah Brown all earned personal bests in the 800. Devita with a time of 2:42.21, Schweitzer 2:49.06 and Brown 2:57.16.

UP NEXT:
The women's track and field team will now set their sights on the MAC Indoor Championships taking place on February 24 and 25. Alvernia University will host the 2023 version of Indoor Championships.
