HUNTINGDON, PA. - The Albright women's soccer team (2-2-1) went on the road on Wednesday night making the long bus ride to Juniata College ( 3-1) and dropped the non-conference match with the Eagles 3-1.
Juniata got off to a quick start against Albright and ultimately led 3-0 after 45 minutes of play.
Haley Denuto and Kelly Griffin each registered a shot for the Lions in the first half.
Denuto got Albright on the board in the 73rd minute of play. Denuto's goal was the first of her career for the first year student athlete.
Audrey Solt was credited with the assist on the Denuto goal. Solt has at least one point in three of the five games to begin the season.
The 3-1 Juniata advantage would hold until the final whistle.
Denuto finished with a team high three shots and Griffin registered two shots leading the way for the Lion offense.
