READING, Pa, - The Albright women's track and field team returned to the track this afternoon and throughout the day at the Winter Invite hosted by Alvernia University.

The Lions 4x800 team of
Leah Brown,
Katelyn Schweitzer,
Alyssa DeVita and
Eren Tighe took second in today's event finishing just five seconds behind Eastern. The time of 11:10.36 placed Albright a full 12 seconds ahead of York College.
Albright's 4x200 team of Tighe, DeVita,
Nyla Callahan and
Taisha Charles was one of three teams in the field to turn in a time of under two minutes. The Lions time of 1:56.07 was less than a second behind Delaware Valley in the race.
Mary Quinn was in action this afternoon in the high jump and cleared a height of 4'6''.
Nyla Callahan participated in the 60m dash and turned in the 15
th fastest preliminary time of 8.52. The time was better than 35 other participants in the event.
Katelyn Schweitzer and Maggie Wiliams were both in 400m dash this afternoon. Schweitzer finished with a time of 1:11.22 and Williams was just behind at 1:14.89.

The women's track and field team will head to Muhlenberg College for the Muhlenberg College Invitational. The Invitational is set for a 3 p.m. start time on Friday, January 26.
