WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Field Hockey (4-8) played the first of back-to-back road games beginning with King's College (4-8). Following four quarters of play, the Lions lost a close one and fell to King's by a score of 3-2.
Aliza Langlois found the back of the net for her fourth goal of the season to give the Lions a 1-0 lead in the 23
rd minute.
With the score tied at 1-1 in the third quarter,
Chelsea Johnson scored in the 43
rd minute to give the Lions a 2-1 lead. In addition to picking up her sixth goal of the season, Johnson also recorded an assist on Langlois' goal.
Also present in the assist category was
Olivia Lorah who assisted on Johnson's goal in the third quarter.
Keliah Santiago recorded three shots on goal as part of a strong offensive effort that saw the Lions generate 18 shots on offense.
King's College would go on to score in the 48
th and 60
th minute of play to pull ahead and win by a score of 3-2.
