READING, Pa. – The Albright women's tennis team (4-1 Spring) continue to make quick work of their opponents so far this spring season. The Lions cruised to another victory on Monday afternoon beating Lancaster Bible College 8-1.
Alex Pancu keeps her perfect spring in tact with a convincing win in number one singles play. Pancu is now 5-0 this spring season. Pancu nearly pulled off the sweep only dropping one game winning the match 6-0, 6-1.
Michelle Timothy was inserted into her normal number two singles spot and pulled out the win in straight sets. Timothy won the first set 6-4 and won the second set by the same score of 6-4 to take the match.
Elicia Aponte and
Valeria Sanchez won their singles matches both in straight sets. Aponte won her match 6-3, 6-2 and Sanchez won her match 6-4, 6-0.
The Lions rolled through doubles play winning #1 and #2 doubles play and taking #3 doubles play by forfeit.
Pancu and Alania Smith teamed up in number one doubles winning 8-3.
Macie Littleton and
Saba Soroush pulled out the closely contested number two doubles play winning 8-6.
