Women’s Track and Field turns in Notable Results at Messiah Invitational

The women’s track and field team continued their outdoor spring season with another solid day on the track and on the field.

GRANTHAM, Pa. – The women's track and field team of Albright College continues to perform well in the 2024 outdoor spring season turning notable results throughout the day at the Messiah Invitational.

FULL MEET RESULTS

Laurel Gingrich took home a podium finish, finishing in 6^th in the 400m dash. Gingrich's time of 64.71 was the 2^nd fastest time out of other MAC competitors. Gingrich's time was just tenths of second off from qualifying her for the 2024 MAC Outdoor Championships.

Mackenzie Dover took 11^th in the 200m dash with a time of 27.05. The time qualifies Dover for the 2024 MAC Outdoor Championships later this spring.

Eren Tighe continues to shine in the 400m hurdles. Tighe took home third for her second podium finish in the event this Spring. Tighe's time of 71.09 was one of four times in the event to finish under 72 seconds.

Elle Haddon impressed once again this afternoon in the javelin throw. Haddon reached a distance of 117-02 to take home third in the event.

The Lions will head to Shippensburg University for the Raiders mid-week invitational. The invitational will take place on Wednesday, April 17 beginning at 3:00 p.m.
