WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Lions women's track and field team preformed really well at the West Chester Last Chance Invite turning in multiple top eight finishes on the day. Today's meet was the last chance to earn a qualifying mark to receive a bid to next weeks MAC Championships.

Laurel Gingrich took home fourth in the 200m dash for the Lions. Gingrich's time 27.81 was good fourth out of 19 participants. In the same race, Nyla Callahan took home sixth with a time of 28.24. The duo combined to give the Lions eight points on the team leaderboard.

Gingrich was also in action in the 400-meter race and took second in the event. Gingrich's time of 1:08.15 was the top time in all of D3 competitors.

Eren Tighe continues to shine in the hurdles race. Today, in the 400m hurdles Tighe took home second beating out division two opponents. Tighe's time of 1:10.87 was less than a second behind first and earned the Lions eight points in the team competition.

Alyssa DeVita took home eighth in the 800-meter dash with a time of 2:58.43.

Mackenzie Dover turned in a solid effort in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.27. Dover earned her spot in the MAC Championships with the strong time.

Albright will begin preparations for the MAC Championships beginning next weekend. The Championships start on Friday, May 3 and run through Saturday, May 4.
