OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Field hockey (3-14, 0-7 MAC Commonwealth) concluded their season on Saturday afternoon on the road at #17 Stevenson (17-2, 6-1 MAC Commonwealth). The Mustangs of Stevenson won their fifth straight game topping the Lions 6-0.
Stevenson scored three goals in the first 15 minutes of play. The first period goal scoring proved to be all the Mustangs would need to head home with a victory.
Throughout the game the Lions were credited with four penalty corners. The Stevenson defense did well to defend the penalty corners keeping Albright off the scoreboard.
Jessica Butz registered one shot for the Lions looking to spark the offense.
Mackenzie Bunn and
Anna Schuemann both played in goal for the Lions. The dup combined to make eight saves as the each played 30 minutes in the game.
With Stevensons win today, the Mustangs will be the number one seed in the upcoming MAC Commonwealth playoffs.
