READING, Pa. – Women's Soccer (2-14-3) played the second of two games at Shirk Stadium to close out their regular season against Alvernia (4-8-6, 0-4-3 MAC Commonwealth). Through 90 minutes of play, neither team would be able to punch through for a goal resulting in a 0-0 tie for their third draw of the season.
Prior to the opening kick, the team took time to recognize seniors
Alexis Solt,
Alyssa DeVita,
Alfa Oriheula,
Anna Bien, and
Azure Crossley for all their contributions to the team.
Alexis Solt started in net and ended her collegiate career on a high note and recorded six saves in addition to a number of clutch grabs and breakups to post a 90-minute shutout against the Wolves. Solt ends her career with 126 saves and six career shutouts.
Both teams were limited in their offensive outputs for the first half and entered the locker room with the score tied at 0-0.
Daiveni Fisher posted a pair of shots in 81 minutes of play looking to spark the offense for the Lions.
Audrey Solt also recorded a shot on goal and looked to setup her teammates with a number of additional scoring chances.
Both teams would fail to capitalize in the second half resulting in a scoreless draw between the two Reading rivals.
