GRANTHAM, Pa. – Women's track and field is nearing the end of the regular season competing in the Messiah Invitational throughout the day on Saturday afternoon.
RESULTS
On Friday afternoon,
Maggie Williams fared well in the discuss throw. On her first throw of the competition, Williams reached a distance of 32.16m which was good for 13
th overall out of a total of 46 participants in the field. The throw was also good for a MAC qualifying mark.
Julia Parmelee competed in the 100m dash and turned in a solid time finishing in 14.67.
Alyssa DeVita narrowly missed a MAC qualifying standard in the 400m dash. DeVita's time of 1:06.41 was just two second off the time needed to qualify for the MAC
Championship later this spring. DeVita was in action again in the 800m race and turned in a time of 2:36.66. In both events, DeVita finished better than half the field.
Orianna Edmond competed in the hammer throw and fared well overall. Edmond's best throw of the day was her first throw of the day that reached a distance of 32.35m. The throw well beyond the distance needed to qualify for the MAC 2025 Outdoor Championships.
