Men’s Tennis Drops Commonwealth Match to York 5-2

The Albright men’s tennis team went on the road this afternoon in their second Commonwealth match of the season facing off against York.

READING, Pa. – Albright men's tennis (5-7, 1-1 MAC Commonwealth) went on the road on Saturday afternoon in the teams first match since last Saturday. The Spartans of York (7-2, 1-1 MAC Commonwealth) picked up the win and their first conference win of the season.

The combination of Nikolai Damman and Clay Lewandowski were locked up in a tight match in their #3 doubles contest. The match went the distance and then some seeing the Lion duo come out on top.

Damman and Lewandowski won by a final score of 7-6 (9-7) to prevent the sweep by York in the doubles matches.

#1 and #2 singles matches went the way of the Lions. Both matches were completed in straight sets.

In #1 singles, Adam Good won 6-2, 6-3 to winning his third match in the last four. Today's match was also the first conference match of the season for Good.

Dylan Huha impressive stretch of play continued this afternoon winning his fourth straight match overall. Huha won easily this afternoon 6-2, 6-2.

Albright will host Alvernia on Saturday, April 12. The match will serve as the team's senior day. The match will start at 12:00 p.m. on the Albright Tennis Courts.
