READING, Pa. – The Women's Soccer team (0-4-2) returned home after three straight road games to face Wilkes (3-2-1). After 90 minutes of physical play, the visiting Colonels would go on to leave with a 2-0 victory over the Lions.
The visiting Colonels would find the back of the net on a lucky bounce in the 12
th minute of play for the game's first goal.
Audrey Solt looked to spark the Lions' offense and picked up a pair of shots in 50 minutes off the bench.
In addition to Solts' efforts
Abigail Landis and
Brylie Jensen also contributed to the Lions' offensive output and registered a pair of shots as well.
The Colonels would score again in the 71
st minute for the games' final goal to go up 2-0.
Paisley Tornatore started in goal and picked up seven saves in 90 minutes in addition to having a number of clutch breakups and grabs to deny Wilkes additional scoring chances.
