READING, Pa. – The Albright Women's Soccer team (0-1-1) concluded their opening two game homestand against Rowan (1-0). Following 90 minutes of play, the visiting Profs would leave with a 3-0 victory over the Lions.
The first 30 minutes of action would result in strong defense from both sides including a number of broken up scoring chances. Rowan would then find the back of the net in the early 32
nd minute for the game's first score.
No further scoring would occur in the first half with the Lions entering the locker room with a 1-0 deficit.
The Lions came out more aggressive in the opening minutes of the second half with
Abigail Landis recording an early shot on goal in an attempt to spark the offense.
Also contributing to the offensive effort were midfielders Kassidy Philips and
Daleyney Herrera-Mingucha who also recorded shots throughout the game.
Paisley Tornatore started and played all 90 minutes in net and recorded 15 saves as well as breaking up a number of additional offensive chances allowing the Lions to stay in the game until the final whistle.
