READING, Pa. – Men's tennis (12-4, 4-0 MAC Commonwealth) was as advertised this afternoon dominating Eastern (6-7, 2-1 MAC Commonwealth) 7-0 on senior day. The win officially clinched a playoff spot for the Lions marking the second year in a row the Lions will be in the postseason.
Prior to the start of today's match, the Lions took the time to honor their two graduating seniors. The seniors are
Gavin Buckley and
Dylan Huha who will both graduate from Albright in May.
Albright is officially headed back to the postseason in 25-26. The Lions can finish no worse than the number two seed when the playoffs begin in two weeks. Next week's match against Messiah will be for the number one seed in the playoffs.
The Lions won all six singles matches with relative ease taking all six in straight sets.
Renato Orsi continues to shine winning 6-0, 6-2 in straight sets.
Karim Fattal matched Orsi with a straight sets win, winning 6-1, 6-1.
Marcelo Menchaca cruised in number three singles 6-0, 6-1.
Enrico Pucci did not drop a single game in his match, winning 6-0, 6-0.
Dylan Huha won 6-2, 6-2 in number five singles while
Gavin Buckley won 6-4, 6-4 in a hard-fought match in number six singles.
It was more of the same for the Lions in doubles play dropping only five games across five total games.
Pucci and Orsi paired in number one doubles and won 6-1. Vallejo and Menchaca won 6-3 in number two doubles.
Leonardo Russo Gispert and
Matias Contreras played well to earn a 6-1 win in number three doubles.

The Lions will head to Messiah for the right to be the number one seed in the upcoming MAC Commonwealth playoffs. The match will take place on Tuesday, April 21 at 3:30 p.m. The first round of the MAC playoffs is set for Wednesday, April 29.
