READING, Pa. – eSports is ranked #13 nationally in Marvel Rivals and is amid a playoff run in hopes of qualifying for the Marvel Rivals National Tournament later this spring. A total of 28 teams across NCAA Divisions I, II and III compete in the league.

Salvatore Sutera and
Ryan Smith are the six members of the Albright Marvel Rivals eSports premier team. Arzabala and Caba serve as the teams tanks, Gomez is a support/flex player, Gross is a damage/flex player while Sutera and Smith serve as support players for the team.
Marvel Rivals is a free-to-play, third-person, team-based PvP shooter featuring a vast roster of Marvel heroes and villains. Teams qualify for the national tournament by winning in the round of 20 and then the round of 16. Albright has already advanced to the round of 16 after beating Creighton in the round of 20. The top eight teams remaining will go to Waco Texas to compete in the PlayVS College League (PCL) Marvel Rivals premier championship. The full playoff bracket can be found by

Lions went 4-3 in the regular season to be ranked #13 in the country heading into the playoffs. In the regular season, the Marvel Rivals team beat North Carolina, Louisiana State University, Auburn and Keiser.
There is a total of 28 teams that compete in the PCL Marvel Rivals division. In the playoffs, the Lions matched up against #20 Creighton in the first round. Albright won the match via a forfeit to advance to the second round of the tournament.
