ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. – Men's tennis appeared in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history on Friday afternoon playing against North Carolina Wesleyan in the first round. The hosts won today's match with a final score of 4-0.
The 2025-2026 season was arguably the best season in program history for the men's tennis program. The season came with many firsts including their first ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
Albright qualified for the national tournament by beating Messiah 4-0 in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth Championship. It marked the program's first conference title since 1998.
The 2025-2026 season concluded with Albright having a record of 15-5. The win total is the most in a single season over the last 16 years and is the third time since 2010 that Albright has won at least 10 matches in a single season.
Renato Orsi was named MAC Commonwealth Rookie of the Year and was selected to the All-MAC First Team. Orsi became the first Albright Lion to be named Rookie of the Year since Arnold Wehrenberg did so in 2003.
Karim Fattal was also named to the First Team in his first collegiate season.

Dylan Huha were all named to the All-MAC Second Team giving the Lions the most All-Conference selections in a single season in program history.
Head coach
Miranda Brown was named Coach of the Year for the second time in her career, also achieving the award for the women's team in 2023.
North Carolina Wesleyan took home the team doubles point to start the match winning #2 and #3 doubles matches. From there the Battling Bishops took three more points in the singles matches to advance to the second round. North Carolina Wesleyan will play Johns Hopkins in the second round.
