KUTZTOWN, Pa. — Men's golf took center stage at The Berkleigh Challenge by bringing home both the team and individual title.
Jonatan Liljeblad found himself taking home individual gold by posting a two-day total of 144 — an even par.
RESULTS
Both the Albright "A" team and "B" teams competed this weekend. The "A" team found themselves in first place after day one of the tournament with a team score of 302. The "A" team was able to keep that momentum into day two, shaving three shots off their day one score to end day two at 299. The "A" team's cumulative total of 601 was 15 strokes less than the second place team. The "B" team ended their weekend by shooting a cumulative total of 637 (321/316) to land in seventh place.
Jonatan Liljeblad took home the individual win with a cumulative score of 144. At the conclusion of day one, he found himself in fourth place by being one over par. He brought himself up to first place by landing three birdies to bring his day two score one under par.
Archie Stoner also had his second top three finish of his first year of his collegiate career. Stoner landed in a tie for second place totaling 146.
Frederik Alhanko and
Charles Bailey each had a top 10 finish for the weekend. Alhanko saw himself finish in seventh place at 152, which included four birdies during the first day of play. Bailey wasn't far behind as he tied for 10th place with a 155.
