DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – Field hockey (0-2) played their first road game on the young season on Saturday afternoon against the Aggies of Delaware Valley (2-0). Delaware Valley scored twice in the second half to win the game over Albright.
The game was quiet through the first 30 minutes of the contest with neither side being able to put a goal on the board.
Mackenzie Bunn kept the game scoreless, having four first have saves.
In the second half, Delaware Valley scored once in the third quarter and once in the fourth quarter to ultimately win the game. The Aggies have yet to allow a goal this season, shutting out Gwynedd Mercy in their first game of the year.
Bunn finished with 11 saves, marking the fifth time in her career that she has reached double figures in saves for a game.
Aniek Oostendorp paced the Lions offense this afternoon totaling three shots placing two of them on goal.
Bobbie Van Oordt registered one shot for Albright looking to combine with Oostendorp throughout the game.
