Albright College Athletics

Since 1914, the Albright College athletic department has had 88 different athletes recognized as All-American by various newspapers, media or coaching organizations. In addition, 17 more have earned either CoSIDA Academic All-American or other Scholar All-American recognition.

Fifteen athletes have earned multiple All-American nods (defined as either multiple seasons or multiple individual event honors): Jenny Payne (badminton), four times; Dick Riffle (football), Jon Thorpe (football) and Tom Pearsall (men's basketball), three times; and Leo Disend (football), Bob Bennett (football), Gary Chapman (football), Gary Sheeler (football), Grant Krow (men's track & field), Bob Smith (football), Ryan Ditze (football), Anna Krupetsky (women's badminton), Bob Maro (football) and Scott Pillar (football), Ralph Porrazzo (men's swimming), two times.

So far, only three Albright student-athletes have been both All-American and CoSIDA Academic All-American in the same season- Bill Carey (Men's Basketball, 1994), Nick Cushman (Football, 2004) and Danisha Higgs (Women's Track & Field, 2013).
