2014
The Albright Student-Athlete Advisory Committee represented the organization at the Albright Activities Fair on Aug. 28 on campus. Co-President's Ronya Nassar and Jermaine Grey spoke to current student-athletes about participating in SAAC and were able to successfully recruit several new members.
The Albright Student-Athlete Advisory Committee spoke to grade school children about the benefits of playing collegiate sports and the positive influences that such participation has had in their lives.
The Albright Student-Athlete Advisory Committee conducted a canned food drive, which they then donated to the County of Berks Children and Youth Services prior to the Thanksgiving Holiday

2013
This past week was Division III week. Albright SAAC honored Division III week by getting all of the student-athletes to wear a red t-shirt to demonstrate their participation in Division III athletics. Albright's athletes also gathered in Shirk Stadium to take a picture supporting DIII.
To finish up the week, SAAC put on a car wash and raised over $500 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. For those that attended our car wash and donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, your Student Athlete Advisory Committee thanks you!
- Albright SAAC exceeded the Middle Atlantic Conference goal of a $500 donation towards Make-A-Wish Foundation, and was able to donate $600 this year! The goal is to continue to exceed that past year’s total in future years.
- Albright SAAC conducted a community service event, organizing three reading sessions at Whitfield Elementary. Various SAAC members went into Kindergarten classrooms to read some books to the students.

Albright Student Athletes start off Division III Week: #AlbrightAthletes
In celebration of Division III week, the Albright S.A.A.C. had t-shirts made up conducted a reading program at Whitfield Elementary. Also on Saturday, Albright’s student athletes are cleaning up one of the trails on campus so that a local elementary school can use it for a wilderness walk/school lesson.
- Albright SAAC recently made a donation to the Special Olympics' Polar Plunge. At the 17th Annual MSP Polar Bear Plunge, for $50 in pledges, Plunge participants take a quick dip in the Chesapeake Bay to raise funds for Special Olympics Maryland, the state’s largest year-round organization devoted to sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
- Over the last couple weeks, Albright’s SAAC worked with Jessica Elk in regards to her Christmas program. From Albright’s SAAC, a variety of kids’ clothing, toys, and necessities were donated and handed over to Jessica Elk of the Berks County Children and Youth Services. All of the donations from Albright’s SAAC will be given to boys and girls of all different ages within the Berks County area who are in need this Holiday Season.

- On Sunday November 18th, Albright’s SAAC went into downtown Reading, Centre Park, and worked with the Reading Beautification Organization to perform community service. Albright’s SAAC had over 20 representatives dedicate their Sunday morning to help clean up and rake leaves in downtown Reading.
Co-President Meghan Boyle stated that “Albright’s SAAC went to Centre Park in downtown Reading to help clean up the community. We spent two hours raking leaves and cleaning the area. Community members joined in with the students. Many of the students enjoyed themselves and felt that giving back to the community was a very enriching experience.”
It was a rewarding experience, and Albright SAAC looks forward to working further with the Reading Beautification Organization in the near future!
- On September 30, Albright S.A.A.C. conducted a car wash to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. A strong group of student-athletes participated, raising over $400 for cancer research.
