Jeremy Speicher

Jeremy Speicher was named the head men's and women's tennis coach at Albright College in February 2012.

He sparked an immediate turnaround, as the women concluded the regular season on an 8-3 run to earn their first-ever Commonwealth Conference playoff berth. The Lion men won their first match under Speicher to break a 15-match losing streak.

The improvements continued in 2014 as the women went 13-6 and reached a second Commonwealth playoffs in three years. Senior Victoria Foanio was named a first team Academic All-American (after earning second team honors in 2013), and graduated with nearly every program record. She completed a four-year sweep of the Commonwealth Player of the Year award and was regionally ranked by the ITA.

The Lion men went 6-7 in 2014, and featured a first team All-Commonwealth freshman in Matthew Muoio.

In 2013, the Lion men won their first conference match in several years, and Foanio was named the Commonwealth Conference Player of the Year for the third consecutive season.

In three seasons, Speicher has coached six All-Conference selections and two winners at the MAC Individual Championships.

The Lions' all-time wins leader with 103 victories, Speicher graduated from Albright in 2006 with a B.S. in Business Management. He was the 2005 Commonwealth Conference Player of the Year, and played a year of Division I at St. Joseph's before transferring to Albright. He is currently working towards his master's in Sports Management at Millersville University.

Speicher is also the Director of Tennis and Head Teaching Professional at White Manor Country Club in Malvern, Pa. Previously, he was the co-owner and Managing Director of Down Under Tennis Academy, where he coached 16 sectionally- and nationally-ranked juniors and college players.

He also worked as the Director of Junior Tennis at Farmington Country Club in Charlottesville, Va. and as the National Zonals Coach for USTA/Mid Atlantic. He was the Head Tennis Professional at Radley Run Country Club in West Chester and a Teaching Professional at Reading's Hillcrest Racquet Club.

In juniors competition, Speicher was nationally-ranked in the 18-under age group, and ranked 21st in the Middle States section at that level. He was a two-time Berks County doubles champion and three-time All-Berks selection.

Speicher holds USPTA P-1 and PTR-Professional certifications, along with USTA Sport Science Level I and II certifications and a Etcheberry Certification in Strength, Conditioning and Movement in Sport. He is also a USRSA Master Racquet Technician.

He resides in Exeter Township with his wife Shannon, daughters Taylor and Brooklyn, and son Brayden.
