Dr. Keith Rodgers enters his fourth season as head women’s tennis coach and second as head men's tennis coach at Albright College.

Since coming to Albright, Rodgers has been committed to helping both the men's and women's tennis programs improve all facets of their games. He has been determined on making all of his players better both on the court, in the classroom, and in their communities.
This past season, Rodgers guided Victoria Foanio to one of the best individual seasons in program history. The freshman standout was named the 2011 Commonwealth Conference Player and Rookie of the Year after finishing the year with an undefeated record (13-0/6-0 CC). She was also named a First Team All-Conference selection and became the first player in history to advance to the championship round of the MAC Individual Tournament.
No stranger to working with all-conference calibur players, Rodgers worked with two Second Team All-Conference honorees in his first season at Albright.
Rodgers, who recently retired from Wernersville State Hospital, has spent most of his life in the field of education starting in the late 1960’s, and has been a student/teacher of the game of tennis for over 30 years. He emphasizes the teaching of the fundamentals of the game, Rodgers has taught the game of tennis all over the world.
He began his educational journey in 1968 as a student at the University of Maryland. After just one year at Maryland, he then transferred to Cheyney State University until 1975.
In 1976, Rodgers moved across the Atlantic to attend school at the University of Frankfurt Medical School in Frankfurt, West Germany. During his four years at the University of Frankfurt, Rodgers was certified as a teaching professional by the Hessen Tennis Association. From 1984-1989 he lived in Romania where he studied at the University of Bucharest Dental School, earning his Dental Degree in 1989.
He then returned to the US to begin his career at Wernersville State Hospital in 1993. He rekindled his pursuit for education in 2000 attending the Philadelphia School of Psychoanalysis for four years as a senior candidate.
Rodgers served as the Head Boys Tennis Coach at Conrad Weiser High School from 2005-2007. In that time he guided a doubles team to the State Finals, and was named Coach of the Year in 2006.
Rodgers continues to teach tennis to this day in the private sector.
