Fetterman is entering his first year on the sidelines with Albright football. Fetterman comes to Albright after serving as his alma matter West Chester University’s defensive line coach.
Prior to West Chester, Fetterman was the Defensive Run Game Coordinator and Linebackers coach for Lehigh University from 2019-2023. At Lehigh, Fetterman would go on to coach three All-League linebackers along with one of his players leading the Patriot League in both TFLs and sacks in 2022.
Fetterman also had an earlier stint with Lehigh from 2000-2005 as an Assistant Football Coach and Strength and Conditioning coach. During this time, he coached two All-American and 11 All League defensive lineman and made the NCAA playoffs three times with a 49-11 record.
Fetterman coached as a Defensive Coordinator from 2014-2019 at Franklin & Marshall where he also doubled as the team’s Linebackers Coach. Under Fetterman’s watch the team led their conference is sacks in back-to-back years from 2017-2018 where the team was also ranked top 20 nationally both years. Marshall also worked as a strength and conditioning coach during this time period.
At Widener University where he was listed as the team’s Associate Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator from 2010-2014. In 2012 his defensive line unit finished third in the nation with 32 ½ (44 total) sacks.
In addition to coaching at numerous prominent universities and colleges, Fetterman spent 2005-2010 coaching at the high school level for Coatesville and Downingtown. Fetterman coached as a Defensive Coordinator and Strength and Conditioning coach for both schools and had four District 1 playoff appearances in five years.
While most of Fetterman’s experience comes from the state of Pennsylvania, from 1997-2000 Fetterman coached for Jacksonville University as both a Defensive and Recruiting Coordinator and a Strength and Conditioning coach. Here Fetterman helped start up the university’s football program.
Fetterman’s first coaching gig came from Ursinus College from 1995-1997. At Ursinus Fetterman was the team’s Assistant Football and Strength and Conditioning coach. Fetterman was part of the winningest era in the school’s history and made the NCAA playoffs in 1996.
Fetterman is a graduate of West Chester University with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Administration.
