Women's Tennis Falls to Susquehanna, 8-1

READING, Pa. - It was another tough afternoon for the women's tennis (0-3) squad as they dropped a tough non-conference match to Susquehanna University (2-0) by the final score of 8-1. Picking up the lone Lady Lions victory was #Victoria Foanio#.

With Saturday's win, Foanio remains undefeated at first singles. The freshman defeated Susquehanna's Julia Lerner in back-to-back sets 7-6 and 6-2. To start of the afternoon, Foanio teamed with #Kaitlin Kimmel# at first doubles.

In another close match, that could have gone either way, it was Susquehanna who pulled out the victory with an 8-4 decision. At second doubles the Crusaders earned an 8-2 victory over #Kelly Irwin# and #Chrissy Mouakad#.

After Foanio's first singles victory, Susquehanna won their next five singles matches to claim the 8-1 victory.

Women's Tennis returns to their home courts on Monday when they take on Penn State Berks at 3:30 p.m.
