Men's Golf Beats FDU and Etown

Results

The Albright College men's golf team easily defeated visiting FDU-Florham and Elizabethtown in a tri-match, Monday at Berkshire Country Club.

The Lions defeated FDU 307-337 (with four golfers scoring) and beat Elizabethtown 389-436 (five golfers scoring). FDU edged the Blue Jays 337-342.

Erik Thorn (72), Payne Baust (78) and Avery Jones (78) took the top three places, while Brody Blessing (79) tied for fourth with Elizabethtown's Ryan Lauderman.

Matthew Mikosky and Sal Capelli each carded an 82, while Albright's seventh finisher- Steve Werst- equaled or bested the fifth golfers from the other two teams.

Pending good weather, the Lions will contest with Yocum Cup next weekend.
