Results

The Albright College women's cross country team defeated Alvernia in a 5k dual meet on Saturday, emerging victorious by a score of 20-35.

Senior Kim Hummel came in all alone to win the individual race, with a time of 21:09. She was almost a minute ahead of her nearest challenger, Alvernia's Olivia Dunzelman.

Albright put itself in position to win with a pack finishing 3-4-5, led by midseason addition Caroline Vazzana (23:00). Right behind her was Sami Haynes (23:03) and Lauren Centafont (23:07).

Shanna Hawkins clinched the victory as the fifth Albright runner across the line, in 25:03.

The meet was a tune-up for next weekend's Middle Atlantic Conference championships, where the Lions will be looking to better their 12th-place finish from 2010.
