The Albright College women's tennis team came up just short in its bid for a 3-0 start to the 2011-12 season, falling 5-4 to Penn State-Berks on Saturday.

With Victoria Foanio and Alyssa Sell's 8-3 victory at first doubles, coupled with Christina Peacock and Melissa Carberry prevailing at third doubles, the Lions had a lead going into singles play.

Unfortunately, Berks rallied to win four of the six singles points, despite convincing wins from Foanio (6-0, 6-0 at first singles) and Sell (6-1, 6-1 in the second spot).

The Lions (1-2) travel to York on Tuesday.
